Auxiliary Support Awards Committee



This committee instills awareness within our network of local and state auxiliaries for the American Lawyers Alliance Auxiliary Support Awards. The committee annually creates and distributes the application form to all known auxiliaries eligible to participate, conducts the judging process, notifies the winning auxiliaries and encourages them to be on hand for the Auxiliary Support Awards presentation. This committee not only arranges for beautiful certificates but also distribution of significant monetary gifts from the ALA treasury to the winning auxiliaries. This committee coordinates the awards presentation, typically held during the ALA Midyear Meeting.



State and Local Auxiliaries

 

This committee serves as a liaison between the board of directors and the various auxiliary membership groups, including obtaining a monthly update from each to provide to the President/Communications Chair for use in communications with the membership. They also encourage participation from the auxiliaries and communicates with their leadership on an informal basis throughout the year.
